I'd love to have a couple new features in the next release, after playing around with the truly excellent new mt4. It's a super huge leap from the previous version, and I am really liking it. But! There's always room for improvement, right?

• Batch address book importer and more fields - seeing this follow the vcard standard would be awesome. I have a lot of contacts that i'd like to share with my blogging staff, and having them accessable from MT would be amaaaazing.

• import old assets - i'd love to be able to define a folder for all my images or photos or podcasts and have the asset manager recognize them. My site has been around for a while, and I have over 100 podcasts that would be a complete pain to re-upload to the site.

• reworking of the way tags are processed - currently running through a query string breaks the rel="tag" microformat standard. I'd like to see a way to display my tags without having to use the search page or an apache rewrite.

• custom tags build in - arvind's plug in is so useful, i'd love to see it come standard. Especially now that MT has more CMS capabilities, it's a pretty vital extension for displaying custom content.
