I am trying to republish my old entry archives, but after a (short) while the process ends with this error:
Can't call method "has_archive_type" on an undefined value at lib/MT/Template/ContextHandlers.pm line 1795.
I looked at the routine where the refresh chokes, but it's all Greek to me :-(
Note that Category and Monthly archives are published without any problem.
Suggestions? BTW, is there some way to publish the archives from a command line prompt?

That's the handler for the MTIfArchiveTypeEnabled tag. You'd get that error if you used it without the required "archive_type" argument I think. Any help?

Well, I selected that my main archive type is Entry. Anyway, since the installation is just for my blog, I settled for a very easy workaround: now the subroutine ends with "return 1;" :-)

Try blogengine. It's much easier and no weird probs. I have recently switched.
