Randomly, I've become unable to publish pages, view the entry list, and view the activity log.

I get the error: archive_file_for Page archive needs a page at lib/MT/Util.pm line 899

I've tried disabling all non-standard plugins, no go. Using MT 4.01

I had the same problem and it started when I deleted the default "Entry" archive template (since all I wanted to do was use Pages and Folders and not Entries). When I re-created an "Entry" archive template (even if I left the template empty) and created an archive mapping the error went away.

Every time I've had the error, it's when the Preferences > Blog Settings > Publishing > Preferred Archive Type is missing.

This issue has been fixed in Movable Type 4.1 which is currently in beta at www.movabletype.org
