I'm using MT4.01. I'm trying to remove all of the tags assigned to an entry. When I open the entry for editing, select all of the text in the Tags field, delete them, and save the entry, when the form reloads, the tags are back as though I never edited them. (The published entries also contain the tags.)

More specifics:

Let's say I have three tags: tag1, tag2, tag3. I can delete tag3, save, and the entry reloads as expected. Deleting tag2 also works as expected. When I then select tag1, delete, and save, when the form reloads tag1 is still there. I can then successively take out the individual characters from the tag, save, and these changes all take effect. But when I clear the final character and save, the form reloads with that character still there.

So it's possible to edit the Tag field, but not clear it in one shot; whatever is deleted using a "select all, delete" approach returns after the entry is saved. (The final remaining tag can be cleared by deleting it from the Manage Tags page.)

Is this just something weird on my end? Has anyone else seen this?
