I have to fill in my login information every time I do something on the mt4 dashiboard. For example, when I try to reconstruct the site, delete an entry, publish an entry, make an category, the mt4 system makes me go back to the login page and forces me to log in again. Even after I re-login, Icannot publish, or delete, and so on, ncessarily. I suspect of the recent firefox update, because this trouble happens when I log in with Firefox, and have none with IE7.

Are you accessing the site using exactly the same address (www.domain.com and domain.com are different addresses)?
Are you blocking cookies in FF?
Have you tried clearing your cookies in FF?

Hi,
I have nearly the exact same problem but with the opposite browser. It is only with the system-created admin account that has trouble and it happens in IE (all versions), but works perfectly in Firefox.
This problem just happened out of the blue for me in January and still exists. Luckily the person who oversees the blogs doesn't mind using Firefox. I did everything I was asked to do by support (permissions checks, database repairs, data checking, etcetera). They couldn't help me solve the problem. However, I did find out on my own that a fresh install worked fine, but as soon as I decided to import the data from a mysqldump, the sys-admin account went down the tubes again. There is a field in mt_authors I think called "is_super_user" or something like that. Switching this off (0) fixes the problem, but then you lose the sys-admin capabilities!
For now I've decided to live with it, but I'm not particularly pleased. MT 4.0+ was working great until this happened, and I really have no explanation as to why it has occured. It's possible there is a IE issue from an update or a Microsoft update on the server preventing some kind of action, but right now I'm leaning towards something wishy washy with the data or code itself.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

The problem solved. I deleted the cookies of my blog site in FF. Thank you for your advice. I have forgotten one of the most basic ways to solove login problems.
