If I want to create a website very similar in format to The Huffington Post ( http://www.huffingtonpost.com ) -- blog, columns, articles, etc. Being a total web design novice, would it be EASIER, and get a better result, for me to use:

(1) a Wordpress.com blog / theme

(2) a Joomla template (with what plug-ins?)

(3) Other What?

The most important part would be css web standards based. Don't get anything using tables or full of errors.
One good place is opensourcewebdesign, 2080 free designs.

Then add the MT tags wanted to the template smile.gif

I've done this when learning by making new index templates, 1 for the template and 1 for the css to start.
Then add a simplified set of mt tags as wanted/where wanted.

A good way to customize your site and learn the tags at the same time, and simplifying mt. Easier said than done I know, but is a good way to learn it by adding the code wanted to a good clean and simple template.
