I'm far from an expert in developing and using Movable Type for our blog. We haven't posted since June 17th. Today when I tried to login to the blog control panel I received this message:
Got an error: Bad ObjectDriver config: Connection error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query
Can anyone help? I'm using Yahoo hosting. The blog has worked fine since I set it up. I have a couple of other things to workout in the name and trackback. Movable type is set to automatically update although I'm not sure it has. The blog is:
www.chelkogroup.com/blog
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you ONM. It turns out the problem was with Yahoo's servers. They corrected the problem yesterday so this problem is now closed.
Thank you.

You're lucky your problem is now closed. I started experiencing a similar problem with a Yahoo hosted MT blog at about the same time, but it looks like in my case the MySQL database was corrupted. I can no longer log into the blog at all and get one of the following errors:
Can't call method "description" on an undefined value at /blog-mt16/lib/MT/App/CMS.pm line 1312.
or
Couldn't load blog; perhaps you have not upgraded your MT database? - Loading data failed with SQL error Can't open file: 'mt_blog.MYI' (errno: 145)
I'm trying to reinstall a different instance of MT at a different URL, reconfigure the templates and then import the old entries (which I thankfully have at the static blog location), and change everything to the original URL. It's pretty frightening because everything is still working fine at the original location, I just can't post new entries. I'd hate to mess up the existing blog through an error on my part. Of course Yahoo is no help at all.
Now I'm having a problem importing the original entries into the new blog. They're probably not in the correct format, because I'm trying to import the individual entry's static HTML. Can anyone please help? It would be hugely appreciated. There are over 500 entries and I'd hate to lose everything.
Thanks again,
Steve
