My writers keep forgetting to type the word "images" in the blank box next to the root directory when they upload images.

Now my root directory is loaded with image files and thumbnails...

Is there anyway that I can already have the exact destination folder chosen by default?? The manual does not go into it whatsoever...

All these additional files will eventually create havoc with the entire db if I dont get it fixed now.

I cant change the file names or delete them because they were created with illegal chracters like spaces and hyphens when they neamed their image before uploading and saving.

Is anyone else having this problem???

Thanks

The docs say nothing because you can't do it in core.

You should have a look at Better File Uploader if only because it lets you do this and alot of other handy things. If this really is all you want, you might take a look at a recent experiment of David's.

I just wanted to let others know that I implemented Dave's fix and that it worked perfectly. Thanks again Su.
