Is it possible to downgrade an MT (mySql) installation back to (say) 3.33 from 4.12?

I'm sure that a lot of people will wonder why and/or tell me not to.

That's okay, but what I want to know is can it be done?

And, if so, where can I find some information on how to go about it?

It seems that the database is modified and I can't get 3.33 to work with the db from a 4.12 blog.

I've got a number of issues that have convinced me that downgrading is the best course of action at this time for a number of reasons.

Yeah I wonder, but that is what it is.

The only way I can think of is to make an export from within MT. Install the older version elsewhere and import the export.

Just be aware that the export doesn't export everything.

I just did this today, as I upgraded to 4.2 only to discover one of my key plug-ins wasn't compatible with the new version. I had made a backup of both my database and /mt directory beforehand. To downgrade, I simply

1. Dropped all of the tables from my database.
2. Imported my backup
3. Wiped all of the 4.2 files from /mt
4. Copied the 3.15 files back into /mt

If you didn't make a backup beforehand, I would say you are s*!t out of luck.

It was ExtraFields, a plug-in that gives you extra fields.
