I am a newbie and I just don't understand why doesn't this newly created blog load the stylesheet in Firefox.

It might have something to do with some html validation errors http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&am...om%2Fbjpblog%2F
It also is broken in IE7.

You need to check you entry template, I am seeing MT tags in the final output.
