I just upgraded to 4.2 and now I can't publish my blog. I even renamed my MT folders and copied over fresh install of MT and still no luck.

When I try to publish I get this error. Can anyone help please?

I'm having a very similar problem. Is there anyone from Six Apart in here? I'm not sure why this happened. My Archive Index got screwed up and gave me a similar error. I had to create one of the widget sets that the sidebar was asking for. That solved the problem for the Archive Index, so mkapos, that may help you some. However, I still can't publish individual entries.

I ended up exporting all my entries, deleting my blog, recreating and importing the entries. Luckily I didn't have that many entries nor many cusomizations..

After I did that, everything worked fine again..

I'm having the same problem. I cannot do what you did. I have a lot of entries and quite a few users. I need to know what caused this on only one of my five blogs and what the solution is.

By going to Design|Templates|Refresh Blog Templates|Apply a new template set|Community Blog in the troublesome blog, I was able to publish my entries and I could put up a functioning blog. Choosing "Classic Blog" wouldn't publish individual entries although it would publish the index page.

This is a temporary and unsatisfactory fix for me. I still have no access to my templates.

Can you paste your template?

I'm experiencing the same exact issue, and the odd thing is I had been running MT 4.12 - Upgraded to 4.2 - made some test posts....then upgraded to 4.21 and again made some test posts. I've made no changes to the templates in the meantime - the only thing I did was refresh the blog templates to test a Pro style, and then switched it back...
