Full Version: Font And Mtinclude Module Codes In Entries

Whenever I want to put an addendum to an entry I usually tag it with a "[addendum]", having the brackets and the text different colors. That requires coding, and I thought to lessen the time by making a module that I use instead and it would pop in the already coded adendum.

The mtinclude doesn't work when I type it in an entry, it appears as text. I've tried different formatting options, markdown, none, rich text (html version, too). They don't seem to work. I've also tried using font color, but that usually doesn't work. I saw it once, during a preivew, turn the text a different color, but it doesn't work when I publish it.

Anyone know what I can do to have a mtinclude or html codes work inside of an entry?

Yep! Try the Processtags plugin.

Wait.

Somnatik: What version are you running? 4.2 has an mteval global modifier that makes this plugin redundant.

Really? Hurray! Does it work by default, or does one have to modify mt-config?

It's just a modifier: http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/a...ers/mteval.html
I could read your question a couple different ways, so I'll say it's allowed by default, but you have to explicitly apply it in your templates wherever you want it to work. I don't believe there's any way to have it just work anywhere, automatically. (Which is probably a very good thing.)

Hey thanks for replying. I have version 4.0rc3.

If I can use mteval, then I won't download the plugin that caribou suggested.

-----

I looked up mteval, it seems to be used like this <$mteval _tag="include" module="add"$></mteval>, but when I type it into an entry and preview it it is displayed as text.

Su-, how can I use mteval to put the module in an entry?

Thanks.

Why are you using not only an old version(which is fine), but not even the final release of it?
I know for a fact there were issues in that release candidate, if only because there was at least one after it prior to the final release. And then there was a security update just a few weeks ago. You should really get yourself up to date in some form, soon. You can get 4.01c from the "providing test builds" link near the end of that post.

You'll have to use the plugin. As I said, it's new to 4.2

No, it's a modifier. You'd use it on as tag, not as one: <$mt:TagName mteval="1"$>

Oh, sorry. I was ignorant to any of the upgrades. I just went up to 4.21. I've installed process tags, but it's not working. I'm going to try out <$mt:TagName mteval="1"$>, even though I'm not to sure on how to use it. I'll just play with it.

[addendum]
Ok, so how do you use it with an include module="add"... this problem doesn't seem so complicated, but I can't get any tags or html into the entries...
