Full Version: Style Catcher Styles Not Appearing
Movable Type Community Forum > Using Movable Type > Default Stylesheets

Hi.

Recently upgraded to 4.21 from 3.33. All seemed to go well.

Decided to use Style Catcher on a site. Was able to pick a style from the MT 4 Style library. Applied it, and the styles are not applied to my site: http://www.redblogchetta.com/

Any ideas on what I should check on to get this to work? I dimly recall having this problem in MT3.

Thanks!

It can't find the stylesheets e.g. http://www.redblogchetta.com/mt4/mt-static...s-base/blog.css

Also, if the templates are mt 3 then the stylesheets won't work without modifications, too many changes to div names.

Hi.

Thanks for the info. My MT install runs in another sites directory so that's the cause of that problem. Good to know.

Guess I need to look into converting the templates over to MT 4 templates. Any suggested resources on that?

How heavily customised are they?

Actually hardly at all. I've tossed them and installed the default ones. Wasn't able to find the style sheet. Ended up hardcoding the URL in the template/widget.

I'm thinking I need to change the static web path in mt-config from /mt4/mt-static/ to /home/user/domain-that-I've-got-MT4-installed-in/mt4/mt-static/
Would that help the weblog find the styles?

Thanks much!
