...oops, I must have already installed it. Now I just have to get it to work...
yeah. I just tried to load themes and then this happened:

okay, after looking around the solution seems to be that StyleCatcher is a big pain that would require my collaborating with my host in esoteric ways to get to work...so guess what? I'm not going to use it. But the reason I wanted to use it in the first place is that my basic installed templates aren't working right. Something else I read seemed to indicate StyleCatcher is not only a white elephant, but can mess up your blog and so must be uninstalled by deleting certain files.

Well 3.2 is very old, that is why the links you find maybe out of date. It may also be that external styles being discovered are for mt4.
I'd be interested in links to the articles about stylecatcher being a white elephant.
