I got hit by the spam monsters one day, when deleting the dozens of messages, I somehow turned the comments off and can't get them back on again.
Eek!
It's like some of the MT code in my cgi bin has been damaged-- but I don't know how it happened. Any clues?

What does it take to get a response? What else do you need to know?
The Dashboard says that comments are turned off at the system level-- but they are not.
I knew I should have just used Blogger.

what version are you using?
in MT4.x, there are three places where comments and trackbacks can be disabled
- System level - System Overview/Feedback
- Blog level - Preferences/Comments
- Entry level - Feedback/Accept Comments/Trackbacks
