I'm having several issues with Sandbox theme displays. These are all cropping up in a brand spankin' new install - the only change I made to the fresh installation was to add Sandbox and import some entries to test the design display.

First, the default, fresh-install display is only displaying the main column in the appropriate width for a post or two, then the remainder of the posts are displaying at 100% width.

Second, on the diurnal set (for example), I tried to go in and clear the float-left property and set a fixed display width for the container... and in addition to the problem above, then the 2nd and 3rd (secondary) columns then displayed at the bottom or off-screen altogether, rather than displaying at the top as designed. (similar to this problem).

I'm a loss at what to do or how to fix it.

I can't seem to get the default themes (Boston skyline, Unity, etc.) to display properly, either - they're all shoving the sidebar content down at the bottom of the page as well. Any help or guidance you can give would be much appreciated!

Oh, and if you'd like to see the problem in action: GO HERE.

It's a test site I've set up to work out these design display problems.
