My host recently notified me that they are ending mysql4 support soon and are urging me to switch to mysql5. I've converted my old 4 database to 5 and am looking for information on how to get MT to use it. Scouring through the forum, I found this post: http://forums.sixapart.com/lofiversion/index.php/t63389.html however, it does not provide details on how to switch from 4 to 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you don't need to do anything. just point MT at your MySQL5 DB and go.

I would go ahead and say that I don't know how to do that. The only time I've configured the database was back in v2.x when i first started and been upgrading ever since.

Edit the Database parameter in mt-config.cgi to reflect the name of your MySQL5 database
