The main HD on my server having bitten the dust, I was replacing all of the web content from a recent backup when I realized that my MT install was broken.
In retrospect, I see that I should have backed up my /db, but unfortunately that doesn't help me.  I don't even know if that's what's causing my problem.

I have all of my old archives.  Is there some way to import them into MT?  I know that there is an import function but everything I've seen says that you can't import straight HTML.  We're only talking about 2-3 months of archives, but I would like to be able to salvage them if possible.

I'm not clear whether your old archives are in the form of webpages or the exported versions of your entries.

If you had the exported version of your entries and you don't see the html code simply click on view source and save the source code as a text file and import that.

If it's in webpage form then I'm not sure what else you can do aside from manually entering the data again... huh.gif

perhaps someone else has another idea

No, I don't have the exported files.  All I have are the archived html files.  I've already started over with a clean slate, which is probably all I can do, but I was hoping for a way of restoring the old files.

Thanks anyway.

You could whip up a little custom script that would harvest the entry data from the html, depending on how you have those pages formatted.

Or, cut & paste, baby.
