I installed the Photo Gallery plugin and got some weird results.

1. First install seemed ok... Added new blog with php option and then published the site with no errors.
2. When I went to view the photo gallery (website.com/photo_gallery/) I got a "save file" response from Firefox and IE like it was a .zip or something.

I deleted the blog and tried again... and now I get the following error when I try to publish:

Publish error in template 'Gallery Index': Unknown tag found: IfE

I have deleted all the files and re-installed the plugin and same problem. Won't publish under html or php settings.

Everything else seems unaffected at this point.

? Any ideas or suggestions?

First of all, do you have PHP configured on your server? IIRC photo gallery needs PHP. What file did it try to download?

The other problem sounds like a corrupt template.

Yes. PHP 5 is installed. My server runs Apache, PHP, MySQL.

Does the photo gallery alter any of the original MT files? Am I missing some other required plugins?

After the first install, FF tried to "download" the index.php file! I assumed there was something corrupt with the file. Now I get the odd publishing error even after deleting every file and re-installing from my harddrive.

Where is the best place to download the files?

Which version of MT are you using?

I am using MT version 4.2

Reading between the lines that version is an alpha and not for MT4.2 here is a 4.2 version http://www.majordojo.com/2008/10/photo-gal...s-some-love.php

Same error with the newest version? Weird!

Then I deleted that blog and created a new one using the PHP version this time. I changed the publishing settings to file extension "php"

Then I published and it published... THen a NEW ERROR.. . uggg

I tried to upload a file and got the following error:

Can't call method "id" on an undefined value at /var/www/vhosts/cpch.org/cgi-bin/mt/plugins/PhotoGallery/lib/PhotoGallery/App/CMS.pm line 460.

Any ideas?
