Google is NOT my friend today. I can't find anything useful about creating author archives in MT 4.21. I need to create it so that the post meta in the blog post (you know, the thing on the bottom of the entry that says the writer's name, tags, etc.) shows the author's name, but when you click it, you can view all the entries made by that person. It's easy in WordPress, but how do you do that in MT?

I use the Mid-Century theme, and it doesn't have the author archives entry listing by default.

You can use <mt:ArchiveLink type="Author"> to output a link see http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/a...rchivelink.html but you will need to add an author archive mapping first.

How do I do the mapping thing then?

In your blog control panel Design > Templates

Under Archive Templates select your template (e.g. Entry) expand Template options
Select Create Archive Mapping and select Author.

I don't see "Author" in the dropdown menu, I only see Entry. Bummer.

I think I have the same problem. Where do you insert the Author tag in the entry archive?

I think I know how to map it once I have the code in.

You place it in the Entry Summary, replacing h card or whatever it's called in the post meta.
