To make a new blog with MT4 use TypeKey authentication as it worked in the past (*not* the new TypePad Connect), where exactly does one enter the Typekey API token?
On the Typekey/Typepad screen where it tells me my token, it says "To turn on comment registration you will need to paste this token into your weblog configuration screen." However, I cannot find any place in the MT4 configuration screens to paste this in.

You need to go to your blog control panel go to Preferences>Web Services and enter your typekey token. You should then be able to enable typekey under Preferences>Registration.

Thanks, Rob.
Unfortunately, this still isn't working for my blog. The Typekey API Token is duly entered and the blog published. The URL is duly entered as an Authorized URL on my Typepad account. Yet an attempt to comment still brings up the "Site is not registered: " message.
I'm doing this on a clone of my real blog that I use for testing:

I've figured out the problem. The URL required by TypeKey is just the top-level domain, without the directory the blog is in.
