Hi all, I'm new here, please tell me if I make a faux pas or am missing something obvious!
Anyway, I'm trying to upgrade from 4.00rc4 to 4.23, so I upload all the new files onto my server, overwriting any old ones.
I trot along to /cgi-bin/mt/mt.cgi, and click the upgrade button (the only one I can click). I sign in, the upgrade begins:
# Upgrading database from version 4.0026.
# Assigning junk status for TrackBacks... (100%)
# Assigning junk status for comments... (100%)
# Assigning blog template set... (100%)
# Moving OpenID usernames to external_id fields... (100%)
# Removing unnecessary indexes...
# Upgrading metadata storage for Assets (100%)
And then it throws an error at me.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found
# error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
It seems a really odd error - as clearly I do have permission to access /cgi-bin/mt/mt-upgrade.cgi, that's the file I'm currently using! I've tried playing with the permissions of the file but it didn't really seem to work. I'm at a loss at what to do here - when I installed 4.00 originally it went off without a hitch.
I've tried this on four different web browsers, three different computers, two different OSs, so it must be a server issue rather than a client issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
