I have a footer that simply displays the following:

© mycompany 2008

The text is located in the Global Template named Footer.

When I changed it to "© mycompany 2009" the pages on my blog did not reflect the change until I published the blog. Yes, this is a once a year change but my Header may change more often so it's a problem.

Is there any way to make changes to the Header and Footer templates that do not require you to publish the entire blog?

Thanks Rob but I don't see any option to enable server side includes. I'm running version 4.1. When I go to blog level and Preferences I see Blog Settings, Address Book and Plugins. Under Blog Settings there is a Publishing menu item but I see no option in there for server side includes.

Any idea where I can find this option?

Looks like I need to upgrade from 4.1 to 4.2 to get these options. Working on that now.
