I am probably just overlooking something, but after an hour of chasing my tail I am ready to give up.

I am trying to follow the directions for turning on dynamic publishing. I go to the Preferences > Publishing page, but the option to turn on dynamic publishing just isn't there.

My console looks just like the one shown in the screenshot at the top of page: http://www.movabletype.org/documentation/a...g-settings.html Notice how, below, the text refers to various Publishing Options, but the "Dynamic Publishing" and "Use Publishing Queue" options do NOT actually appear in the accompanying screenshot. That's exactly as it is in my system.

My guess is that the "Dynamic Publishing" and "Use Publishing Queue" options only appear after some other setting is set to a specific value, but I cannot for the life of me figure out which setting or what value. Anyone know?

It looks like that part of the docs is referencing 4.1, while the screenshot is of 4.2.

The Publishing Queue and Dynamic Publishing options are now specific to templates. Go to an index template or archive index template, and in the Template Options you'll see that you can select the publishing method.
