I'm having a problem concerning my MT Password.

If I have a password in a word-number-word combo, Movable Type stops checking my password after the numbers.

For example:

I set my password to "banana123orange".

I can successfully login using the following passwords:

banana123
banana123ora
banana123asdfasdfasdf

Any ideas? Is there something wrong with my server, or MT? I wish I knew Perl better, otherwise I'd try to debug this further.

I'm using 4.23-en, but had this problem before I upgraded. I thought this was the "significant unreleased bug" that this upgrade was for.

For passwords only the first 8 characters are significant, this is a limitation of perl crypt http://perldoc.perl.org/functions/crypt.html
