Hi there,

it seems not so new - my problem - but it drives me insane. Whenever I try the mt-load.cgi I get following error:
Loading initial data into system...

An error occurred while loading data:

Connection error: Access denied for user: 'www.mysite.de@glod.store' (Using password: YES)

I have the right password, the right username, the right
DBHost and the right Database.

I know it, because I have a lot of other tables in the Database and they are working. I think, the problem is the mt-db-pass.cgi. What I had to do, if I would renounce and put the password in the cfg.file? Has anyone an idea?

Thanks
girlie
Putting it in the mt.cfg file isn't very secure; someone could view that file and get your password if they know the path to your cgi files (easily gleaned from your source code).

Are you *sure* you put the right password in mt-db-pass.cgi? Note that you should completely replace database_password with your password. Save mt-db-pass.cgi and upload it to your server in ASCII mode, then set permissions on it to 755.

Oh, thanks, it was a mistake of my provider.  :0

Now it works.
