I have created a new category and would like to be able to move a whole lot of entries into it: is there a way to do that without stepping through them all one at a time? For instance, I can summon them all up by text searching, but all I can do then is delete: it would be nice if I had other options, like export, move to category, etc.

Does Power Editing Mode do that?

I don't know, since every time I've ever tried to use P.E.M., it crashes!

Have you tried using the Power Edit mode?  You can filter it by category and then change a bunch at a time. smile.gif  That's what I used when I imported in old posts, and it worked really well.

See what I mean?  :p

You know, my power editing mode *never* works - the page doesn't fully load. What's up with *that*??
kadyellebee
Hee hee, everytime I got done posting, there was one already there from you - so yeah, I must be following you :giggle:

That's so odd that your power edit mode doesn't work.  But there are a LOT of drop down boxes on that page, and that's been known (on other older sites) to crash my browser in the past.  Does using it with another browser work for you?  Maybe try Opera or Mozilla?  ???

But I think this *should*  help Paul smile.gif

You mean there are other browsers besides Internet Explorer?

LOL smile.gif  I hate to think so, but unfortunately, I design too much to ignore them all.  'cept the old ones.  I'm sorry, N4.x is just TOO old to even worry about for me now! wink.gif

So - how do you manage to install multiple versions of IE on one PC? Doesn't it just replace the old version when you download a new one without asking you what you'd like to do? I'd like to have both IE5 and IE6 here at home.

I have a LOT of problems with IE6 at work - but I don't know if they're strictly IE6 related, or incompatibility with Win XP, or just a crappy Internet connection at work. So I'm skeeeered to dump IE5 at home completely!!

Nope, unfortunately, you can't have multiple version of IE.  So I have IE6 and 3 netscapes, a mozilla, and 2 operas.  That's as good as I can do, although I sure would have loved IE5.5 yesterday when a client ( http://www.rideforlife.com/MT ) was getting a horizontal scrollbar and I couldn't see it in any of my browsers - apparently was something only in IE5.5.  So hard to troubleshoot when you can't see it! I had to have a friend help me out!!

Hmm, that was a long answer for something so little!
