this is the error i get when trying to install mysql.
An error occurred while loading data:
install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't locate DBD/mysql.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./extlib ./lib /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at (eval 3) line 3.
Perhaps the DBD::mysql perl module hasn't been fully installed,
or perhaps the capitalisation of 'mysql' isn't right.
Available drivers: ExampleP, Multiplex, Proxy.
at lib/MT/ObjectDriver/DBI/mysql.pm line 28
also, i have moved to a new server and copied all the files from my movable type folder how would i be able to use that information instead of rebuilding the whole site?

Does mt-check.cgi report that your server has DBD::mysql installed?

If you're moving from another server where you were running MySQL the most important thing to grab is the MySQL database dump. You can get this through phpMyAdmin.

No, it's a tool that might be in your account control panel. It's very server-dependent: you'll likely have to ask your old hosting provider how to get a dump of your MySQL database.

I'm having the same problem, and my mt-check.cgi says I have both DB_File and DBD::mysql installed. I got the exact same msg. Any ideas?
Thanks!
