OK, I'm on my first Moveable Type install, and everything is going quiet smooth... not problems at all except this morning when my mind starting thinking about it...

What is the best way to hide the mt.cfg file from anyone typing it into their browser and seeing it?  Should I change permission on it?  Is there anything I can do besides trying to name the directory Moveable Type is installed in something hard to guess?

If this question is answered elsewhere, please let me know as well.  I would hate to think I overlooked anything in the install directions..

Thanks in advance!

The best way it to have your cgi-bin outside your public area and put your database and mt.cfg in there.  Then you just get an Internal Server Error when you try to look at it.

Changing the name of the folder probably won't help much because it will still come up when somebody uses the comments or search.  Unless you disguised it somehow.  ???

Yeah, I'm not much help.  My cgi-bin is outside my public so I haven't had to think about it.

I don't have a cgi-bin folder. What are the benefits/drawbacks to this?
