After upgrading to 2.51 and starting /mt/mt.cgi

I got following error;
Got an error: /home/sites/site18/web/mt/mt.cfg:6: variable 'http://www.movabletype.org/cpan/cpan-IPC-Run.tar.gz' not defined

Than outcommenting above: The next error is received

Got an error: /home/sites/site18/web/mt/mt.cfg:80: variable 'PartialSearch' not defined

These errors I did not receive with 2.5
Also outcommenting above line solved the problem and I can login again

next to that: the upgrade does destroy the template for the search engine. :-(( Including stuff with plugin options.

Create a backup you say .. Yup I should have but I didn't ..

There's another thread around here about the PartialSearch, I think that was eliminated when MT Search was integrated into MT. Comment it out.

Re: the default template - yeah, when I uploaded, I just renamed it to newdefault.tmpl before uploading so I could look at it later to see if there were changes I'd want to integrate with the one I'd already modified. I didn't copy over my existing default.tmpl because I knew I'd made changes to it already.

That's an example of why the Upgrade Instructions include this statement:

QUOTE
NOTE: if you have made changes to any of the files that you are replacing, you will need to mark the files that have changed, and make the same changes to the new versions.

Comment it out: DONE :-)

And about the one changed: that quote did hurt ..
